Jeremy Davis is an online buddy of mine I’ve known for several years now. He’s a painter up in Portland. I’ve always appreciated his work, but it’s probably been in the last year that I’ve really grown to love it. And while I paint as well, it would take a lot of balls to call myself an “artist”. Jeremy deserves that title. He has a way of building up colors I have trouble wrapping my head around. As a Christmas gift to myself this year I commissioned him to do a painting of Jerry Reed. Jerry Reed is my favorite musician, on a soul level, if that makes sense. I can’t say enough how stoked I am on the end result. It’s already one of my most favorite things I own. I asked him to document the whole painting process, which you can view photos of here.
